Georgios Kostikos(Greek:Γεώργιος Κωστίκος; born 26 April 1958) is a Greek former professionalfootballer.
Playing career

[edit]Kostikos began playing football withPierikosin 1975, and two years later he was acquired byPAOK.[1]He played for PAOK from 1977[2]to 1986, before finishing his career withOlympiacosandDiagoras.[3]He won the1985Greek league title with PAOK.
International
[edit]Kostikos made 35 appearances and scored three goals for theGreece national football teamfrom 1977 to 1984.[4]He also participated inUEFA Euro 1980.
Managerial career
[edit]In 2006, after the dismissal of PAOK coach, Mr. Karageorgiou, Kostikos took over the team as a temporary coach. After Kostikos successfully led PAOK to qualify to theUEFA CupGroups, PAOK's president Yannis Goumenos, announced that Kostikos will be the coach of PAOK. For the year 2007–2008 Kostikos managedNea SalaminaofFamagustainCyprus.
Personal
[edit]His brother Alekos (1953-1991) was a football goalkeeper and died in a car accident. His son isGiorgos Kostikos.His family wasRefugees of the Greek Civil War.
