Ghatail(Bengali:ঘাটাইল) is atownofGhatail Upazila,Tangail,Bangladesh.The town is situated 33 kilometres (21 mi) north ofTangailcity and 114 kilometres (71 mi) northwest ofDhakacity, the capital of Bangladesh.

According to the2011 Bangladesh census,Ghatail town had 7,668 households and a population of 35,245.^[1]

The literacy rate (age 7 and over) was 72.1% (Male-77.6%, Female-65.1%).^[2]
