On 7 September 2023, Godwin joinedSaudi Pro LeagueclubAl-Okhdood,[2]for a reported fee of €2.5 million.[3]

He was selected by Nigeria for their 35-man provisional squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics.[4]
Godwin made his debut for theNigeria national football teamon 27 September 2022 in a friendly game againstAlgeria.[5]
