Gog Magog Games - Wikipedia

TheGog Magog GamesorGog Magog Olympikswere held annually on theGog Magog HillsoutsideCambridge,Englandin the 16th and 17th century.

The games were held in the 16th and 17th century outside Cambridge. In 1574Cambridge Universityissued an edict against students taking part in the games.^[1]By 1620 they were being referred to as "Olympik" bySymonds D'Ewes.^[2]^[3]

Robert Dover, founder and for many years the director of theCotswold Olimpick Games,was a scholar at theUniversity of Cambridgein 1595, possibly as asizaratQueens' College:^[4]although it is not known whether the term "Olympik" was already in use for the Games.^[2]
