[edit]King is president and CEO of production companyGK Films.He is best known for his 2006 crime thriller filmThe Departed,which was awarded theBest Picture Oscarat the79th Academy Awards,and forBohemian Rhapsody,which was nominated for five awards including Best Picture at the91st Academy Awards,winning four.
King's multiple commercial successes as a producer includeThe Departed(which grossed $289.8 million worldwide),[1]The Tourist($278.3 million),[2]andBohemian Rhapsody,which grossed over$910 millionworldwide against a production budget of about$50 million.Bohemian Rhapsodyultimately became thesixth-highest-grossing film of 2018 worldwide,the highest-grossing musical biographical film of all time,[3]and in 2022 was listed as one of20th Century Fox's top five highest-grossing films worldwide.[4]
Honours
