Gregory Stanley Kabat(May 21, 1911 – January 12, 1994) was an Americangridiron footballplayer and coach. He playedCanadian footballprofessionally as arunning backfor eight seasons with theWinnipeg Blue Bombersof theCanadian Football League(NFL). He helped the Blue Bombers to twoGrey Cupchampionships in 1935 and 1939. He playedcollege footballfor theUniversity of Wisconsin,where he was named to the1932 College Football All-America Teamas aguard.Kabat later coached football atVancouver College,theUniversity of British Columbia,andCantwell High SchoolinMontebello, California.He was inducted into theCanadian Football Hall of Famein 1966.

Coaching career

In 1948, Kabat was hired at the head football and headtrackcoach atCantwell High SchoolinMontebello, California.[1]He resigned as football and track coach in 1966, but remained a member of the teaching faculty at the school.[2]
