TheGuangfo MetroorGuangfo lineis a intercitymetroline that connects the Chinese cities ofFoshanandGuangzhou.As of December 2018, the line is currently 39.6 km (24.61 mi) long and has 25stations,which are all underground.

History

The line was expected to startconstructionin 2002 with a tentative opening in 2009.However, due tocapitalshortage, its construction was claimed to be suspended until it resumed in 2007.The section betweenKuiqi LuandXilangwas completed in 2010. The Xilang–Yangang section began operation on December 28, 2015.The section betweenYangangandLijiaowas completed in 2018.

Since 24 April 2016,Wi-Fiis available across the entire line.

Future Development

Guangzhou section

An eastern extension fromLijiaoto Dashacundong is under planning. The extension will be 2.4 km (1.49 mi) in length.
