Halalkhor
TheHalalkhorare a Muslim community, found in India. The Halalkhor are also known asShaikhraorShahaniinBiharandMuslim Bhangiand inUttar Pradesh,and are traditionally associated withmanual scavenging.[1]As a result they suffer from discriminatory practices likeuntouchabilityalong with similarly situated Hindu communities likeHelas,Doms,andValmikis.[1]
