Hanestadis a village inRendalen MunicipalityinInnlandetcounty,Norway.The village is located along the riverGlomma,about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) southwest of the village ofBergset.TheNorwegian National Road 3runs through the village. TheRørosbanenrailway line also runs through the village, stopping at Hanestad Station, the only railroad station inRendalen.In 2021, the village had 40 residents.[2]

In Hanestad there is a gas station/service center, an inn,Hanestad Station,andHanestad Church.About 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) north of Hanestad is the waterfallTegningfallet[no].About 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Hanestad isJutulhogget,one of northern Europe's longest canyons.
