Ahanten(Phán triền)(alsoBán triền,Bán thiênorPhán thiên) is a short winter coat and an item of traditionalJapanese clothing.Thehantenstarted to be worn, especially by the common people, in the 18th century, duringJapan'sEdo period(1603-1867).

The shape of thehantenbears a resemblance to anoragi,a traditionalpatchworkjacket, and thehaori,and is worn by both men and women.
