Genera

Geminigeraceaeis afamilyofcryptophytescontaining the five generaGeminigera,Guillardia,Hanusia,ProteomonasandTeleaulax.[1]They are characterised bychloroplastscontainingCr-phycoerythrin 545,and an innerperiplastcomponent (IPC) comprising "a sheet or a sheet and multiple plates if diplomorphic". Thenucleomorphsare never in thepyrenoid, and there is never a scalariform furrow. The cells do, however, have a long, keeledrhizostylewith lamellae (wings).[1]
