Hildegard Kleeb(born 1957 inRichenthal, Reidenl[Wikidata],Willisau District) is aSwisspianist.[1]

Life and works

After her firstpianoandoboelessons in music school inZug,she studied piano under Cécile Hux and oboe under Hans-Martin Ulbrich atZurichMusic schoolfrom 1978 to 1982. She also studied later under Eric Gaudibert inGeneva,underClaude HelfferinParisand underJürg Wyttenbachat theCity of Basel Music Academy.[2]In 1990, she was a visiting scholar at the academy of plastic arts in Helsinki and from 1992 to 1995 at theWesleyan UniversityinConnecticutin the United States, where she also worked in Anthony BraxtonensembleinNew York Cityand inJavanesianGamelanorchester. She began to work there withAnthony Braxton,Alvin LucierandChristian Wolff.She is married with thetrombonistRoland Dahinden.

Kleeb has participated in the first performances ofPeter Ablinger,Maria de Alvear,Anthony Braxton,John Cage,Roland Dahinden,Hauke Harder,Bernhard Lang,Alvin Lucier,James Tenney,Daniel WolfandChristian Wolff.[3]
