Hotel Indigois an Global chain of small, individually owned boutique hotels, which is part ofIHG Hotels & Resorts(InterContinental Hotels Group). As of June 2024 it has 156 hotels with over 20,000 rooms worldwide, and has stated that it plans to open more than 150 further hotels.[1]

History

The first Hotel Indigoopened inAtlanta, Georgia,US in October 2004[2]and a second location opened in the historicGold Coast neighborhoodofChicago,Illinoisin May 2005 (later beingforeclosedand re-branding as the Claridge House).[3]The chain's first non-US property, which in 2017 became the independent Metcalfe Hotel,[4]was opened inOttawa,Ontario, Canada.
