Houcine Dimassi(born 18 November 1948) is aTunisianpolitician. He served as theMinister of Financeunder Prime MinisterHamadi Jebali.[1][2]
Biography
[edit]Early life
[edit]Houcine Dimassi was born on 18 November 1948 inKsar Hellal.[2]He received a PhD in Economics in 1983 and theagrégationin 1984.[2]
Career
[edit]He started his career as a university professor of Economics at theUniversity of Tunis.[2]From 1988 to 1991, he served as Dean at theUniversity of Sousse.[2]He has attended conferences of theWorld Bank,theFood and Agriculture Organization,and theUnited Nations Development Programme.[2]In 2001, he wrote a report for theTunisian General Labour Union.[2]
Minister
[edit]On 20 December 2011, after the deposal of PresidentBen Ali,he joined theJebali Cabinetas Minister of Finance[2]and submitted his resignation, which was accepted, on 27 July 2012.[3]
Personal life
[edit]He is married and has four children.[2]
