Irene Kim(November 6, 1987),[1]also known by her online aliasIreneisgood,is an American model, beauty andfashion journalist,and television personality based inNew York City.In 2018, Kim released her clothing brand IRENEISGOOD LABEL.

Early life

Irene Kim was born inIowa,to South Korean parents and raised inSeattle, Washington.In middle school, Kim and her family moved to South Korea, where she attended a Christianboarding school.[2]Kim studied textile design at New York'sFashion Institute of Technology.[3][4]While interning atJYP Entertainment,Kim came up with theleopard printconcept for theWonder Girls' single, "So Hot".[4]

Kim credits her sense of style to her grandmother.[5]

Kim's first runway show was for Jardin de Chouette and SJYP in 2012.[6]Kim walked for J Koo, KYE, Youser, Supercomma B, and S=YZ. She has worked with designers such asMulberry,Ferragamo,MATCHESFASHION,MaxMara,Calvin Klein,Charles & Keith, andChanel.[7][8]

In 2015, Kim was appointed asEstée Lauder's Global Beauty Contributor withKendall Jenner.[9][10]Kim is a brand ambassador for Chanel.[11]

She appeared on magazine covers forCosmopolitan Korea,Marie ClaireTaiwan,WKorea,Harper's Bazaar Korea,Elle Thailand, and Grazia Magazine China.[12]

Kim is known for her multi-colored hair.[4][3]

Television

In 2015, Kim became a co-host forMnet's original programming, "K-Style", a show introducing Korean trends in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.[13][14]A few years later, she became co-host ofCJ E&M's channelOnstyleon a program called, "Style Live". Her segment was titled, "Irene Live".[15][16]In 2019, Irene became one of the hosts for CJ E&M's "Get It Beauty" program, a show that shares beauty tips and trends.[17]

In 2019, Kim met withE News' E Social Studies Club to discuss the meaning ofIreneisgood.

With Eva Chen, the head of fashion partnerships at Instagram, Kim was one of the influencers who appeared onThe Today Showto introduce spring trends of the 2019 season.[18]

In May 2024, Irene signed with new agencySaram Entertainment.[19]

Label

In June 2018, Irene released her brand, IRENEISGOOD LABEL.[20]The Label had pop-ups in Shanghai, China and Seoul, South Korea.[21][22][23]In March 2019, IRENEISGOOD Label released its first sneaker collaboration and pop-up with JOSHUAS in Taiwan.[24]
