TheIrish Film & Television Academy (IFTA)is anall-Irelandorganisation focused on film and television. It has about 1000 members, and is based inDublin,with branches in London and Los Angeles. The IFTA now holds separate ceremonies for theIFTA Film & Drama Awardsand IFTA Gala Television Awards;[3]Before 2015, they were one ceremony, known as the Irish Film & Television Awards.[4]IFTA also holds theJohn Ford IrelandSymposium each June and over 30 networking and learning events throughout the year.[3]

IFTA also establishedJohn Ford Irelandin 2011, in association with the estate of American directorJohn Fordand theDepartment of Culture, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht.[2]
