Isaac Adamson(born 1971,Fort Collins, Colorado)[1]is an American author who wrote a series ofmysterynovelsset in Japan and featuring journalist and amateur detective Billy Chaka.
Biography[edit]
After graduating fromRocky Mountain High Schoolin Fort Collins, Adamson attendedUCLAbriefly before graduating from theUniversity of Colorado at Boulderwith a degree in Film Studies. While at UCLA, he was a member of the1990 NCAA National Championshipmen' soccer team.[2]
Adamson's first novel,Tokyo Suckerpunch,was to be made into a film bySony Pictures Entertainment,starringTobey Maguirein the role of Billy Chaka.[1]All four of his Billy Chaka novels were published byHarperCollins.They are currently out of print. His novelComplicationwas published byCounterpoint Press.Complication,a thriller set inPrague,was a nominee for theMystery Writers of America's 2013Edgar Awardsin the Best Paperback Original category.[3]
Adamson currently lives inPortland, Oregon.He is married to Chee-Soo Kim.[citation needed]
