Jerry James Moses Jr.[2](born September 12, 1979), better known asJ.J. Moses,is an American former professional football player. He playedwide receiveratIowa State Universityand for theGreen Bay Packers,Houston Texans,andArizona Cardinalsin theNational Football League(NFL). During his career, he was listed as the shortest player in the NFL, at 5'6 ".[3][4]
Early life
[edit]Moses was born inWaterloo, Iowaand attendedWaterloo East High SchoolinWaterloo, Iowa.[5]
College career
[edit]After high school, Moses attendedIowa State University,where he continued his football career. He played primarily as wide receiver for theIowa State Cyclones,as well as returning kickoffs and punts.[6]In his senior season, Moses led the team in receiving yards[7]and was named teamMVP.

[edit]During his professional career, Moses primarily played as akick returnerandpunt returner.He played for theGreen Bay Packers,Houston Texans,andArizona Cardinals,mostly onspecial teams.[5]He also played for theScottish ClaymoresofNFL Europe,where he was the #1 punt returner for the 2002 season.

Post-playing career
[edit]After the end of his playing career, Moses became Director of Player Engagement with the Houston Texans.[8]He was popular in this role, but was dismissed after the2019 season.[9]
Personal life
[edit]While playing professional football, Moses found time to volunteer as anusheratLakewood Churchin Houston under pastorJoel Osteen.[3][10]
