Inhistorical recordsthe village was first mentioned in1249.In village is Roman Catholic Church of st. Mary Magdalene.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 480 metres and covers an area of 20.53 km2(7.93 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]
