John Albert "Automatic Jack" Manders(January 13, 1909 – January 29, 1977) was anAmerican footballplayer. He played professionally in theNational Football League(NFL) for theChicago Bearsfrom 1933 to 1940.
A star of the NFL early years, Manders was the second pro football player to appear on aWheaties box.[1]He was also a member of the Chicago team coached byGeorge Halasthat defeated theWashington Redskinsin the1940 NFL Championship Gameby the memorable score of 73–0.
He was the older brother ofClarence "Pug" Manders.
