Jaime Fields(August 28, 1970 – August 29, 1999) was anAmerican footballplayer, alinebackerwith theKansas City Chiefsof theNational Football League(NFL) for three seasons. He playedcollege footballat theUniversity of WashingtoninSeattleand was selected in the fourth round of the1993 NFL Draft.[1]

After his playing career, Fields was killed at age 29 in ahit-and-runautomobile crash insouthernCalifornia.[2][3][4]

Born and raised in southern California, Fields attendedLynwood High SchoolinLynwood.

College career[edit]

Fields played for theWashington Huskiesfrom1988to1992for head coachDon James.He was known on the field for his speed and hitting ferocity.[5]With Fields at linebacker, the Huskies went to three consecutiveRose BowlsasPacific-10 Conferencechampions and shared anational championship(1991) after thesecond.
