Jam Sahib(Gujarati:જામ સાહેબ) or simplyJamwas a native title used by the rulers of a fewprincely states,notably born in westernBritish Indiainto theSamaa dynastyand theirJadejabranch which denotes their claimed descent from the legendaryJamshedofIran.^[1]^[2]
