She received her MFA degree in Art and Technology from theOhio State Universityin 1997 and her BA degree in Fine Arts with a minor in Art History,Phi Beta Kappa,fromIndiana University Bloomingtonin 1993. Her work has been shown throughout the United States. She has been an Artist-in-Residence atKala Art Institute,[when?]and an Affiliate Artist at theHeadlands Center for the Arts.[when?]
Lucroy worked atPixar Animation StudiosasDirector of Photographyfor Lighting on theAcademy-Awardwinning filmThe Incredibles(2004),[1]Directing Lighting Artist onMonsters, Inc.(2001) and Lighting Artist onToy Story 2(1999) andA Bug's Life(1998).
