Jason Love Lawson(born September 2, 1974) is an American former professionalbasketballplayer andcoach.
Playing career
[edit]The 6'11 ", 240 poundforward-centerwent to college atVillanova University.He played with theOrlando Magicin the1997–98 NBA seasonafter being selected by theDenver Nuggetsin the1997 NBA draft.In his only NBA season he played in 17 games, averaging 4.7 minutes per game, he had a field goal percentage of 60.0%. He had an 80.0% free throw accuracy. He had an average of 1.6 rebounds per game. He also averaged 0.3 assists per game, 0.2 steals per game, 0.2 blocks per game and 1.5 points per game.[1]
Lawson played for theGrand Rapids Hoopsof theContinental Basketball Association(CBA) and was selected to the CBA All-Defensive Team in 2000.[2]
Coaching career
[edit]Lawson continues to coach in the Philadelphia area with the private coaching service,CoachUp.[3]
