Jean-Laurent Cochet(28 January 1935 – 7 April 2020) was a French director and actor.
Biography
[edit]He was best known for starring in movies such asA Thousand Billion DollarsandFort Saganne. He was an important teacher for acting. Hundreds of his students have succeeded in theater and cinema:Gérard Depardieu,Richard Berry,Claude Jade,Isabelle Huppert,Daniel Auteuil,Emmanuelle Béart,Carole Bouquet,Fabrice Luchini,Raphaël Quenard,etc.[1][2][3][4]On 7 April 2020, he died fromCOVID-19during thepandemic.[5][6][7]
