Jeffrey James Kostoff(born August 19, 1965)[1]is an American former competitionswimmerwho represented the United States at two consecutiveSummer Olympics.At the1984 Summer Olympicsin Los Angeles, he finished in sixth place in the final of themen's 400-meter individual medley.Four years later at the1988 Summer Olympicsin Seoul, South Korea, he advanced to the B Final of the400-meter individual medleyand finished ninth overall.

He held the national high school record in the 500-yard freestyle for 30 years (1983-2013),[2]and held theStanfordrecord in the 1,650-yard freestyle for 21 years (1986–2007).[3]
