Gerald Labriola(May 17, 1931 – April 28, 2024) was an American mystery writer, physician, politician, and assistant professor at theUniversity of ConnecticutMedical School. In Connecticut's1994 U.S. Senate election,he ran a losing campaign as the Republican nominee against DemocratJoe Lieberman.[1]He also ran unsuccessfully forGovernor of Connecticut[2]and served in theConnecticut Senate.[2]

Labriola died on April 28, 2024, at the age of 92.[3]
