James Vallely[1][2][3](born August 30, 1954) is an Americantelevision producer,andscreenwriter.He has written and produced forThe Golden Girls,Two and a Half Men,My Wife and Kids,The John Larroquette Show,andLadies Man.[4]as well asArrested Development,a multipleEmmyAward-winning television show on theFoxnetwork, and was an executive producer and co-creator ofRunning Wilde,also on Fox, along withMitchell HurwitzandWill Arnett.
His work onArrested Developmentwon him aPrimetime Emmy Awardand aWriters Guild Of America Award.
Vallely grew up inEast Brunswick Township, New Jersey,graduating fromEast Brunswick High Schoolin 1972.[4]He attended bothMiddlesex County CollegeandNew York University,and later moved to California in 1982. He wrote for a number of TV series, including ten episodes ofThe Golden Girls,which was his first paid work as a writer,[5]His daughter is former child actorTannis Vallely.
