Joseann Alexie Offerman(born March 10, 1994) is an Americanring announcer,professional wrestler,and singer. She is best known for her tenure withWWE,under thering nameJoJo.She was part of theE! Networkreality television showTotal Divasduring the first season, which aired in 2013.

Early life[edit]

Joseann Alexie Offerman was born inLos Angeleson March 10, 1994,[2]and is the daughter of Dominican professional star baseball playerJosé Offerman,and was born in the city when her father was a member of theLos Angeles Dodgers.[3]She is also of Mexican descent.[4][non-primary source needed]

Professional wrestling career[edit]

In May 2013, Offerman joinedWWEandE! Network's reality showTotal Divas,which shows behind the scenes footage of select WWE Divas and a look into their personal lives.[5][6]

At just 19 years old, Offerman made her main roster debut under thering name"JoJo"on the June 26, 2013, episode ofWWE Main Event,singing the entrance theme forTons of Funkalongside The Funkadactyls (CameronandNaomi). Her version of the song was later released oniTunes.The following week onRaw,JoJo appeared in a backstage segment also involvingThe Bella Twins,Natalya,The Funkadactyls, andEva Marie.[7]On the July 22 episode ofRaw,JoJo along with the cast ofTotal Divasappeared on Miz TV, where she introduced herself to the crowd.[8]JoJo sang theUnited States national anthematSummerSlamon August 18.

On the August 26 episode ofRaw,JoJo served as the special guestring announcerduring a singles match between Natalya and Brie Bella. After the match,WWE Divas Champion,AJ Leeinterrupted Brie Bella's victory celebration by cutting aworked shootpromoon the cast ofTotal Divas.[9]Following this, JoJo appeared at ringside to show support for herTotal Divasco-stars during their matches. JoJo was booked in her first match onRawon October 7, teaming with Natalya andEva Mariein a winning effort againstAlicia Fox,Rosa Mendes,andAksanain a six diva tag-team match, however she was never tagged into the match.[10]The Total Divas defeated The True Divas (Fox, Aksana, Divas Champion AJ,Kaitlyn,Mendes,Tamina SnukaandSummer Rae) in anelimination tag-team matchat theSurvivor Seriespay-per-view,[11][12]and the following night onRawin a rematch, where she achieved her first in-ring victory afterpinningand eliminating Tamina Snuka.[13]

JoJo later moved to WWE'sdevelopmental territoryNXTin late 2013, after it was confirmed she would not be returning toTotal Divasfor its second season. She subsequently became thering announcerforNXT.In April 2015, JoJo was promoted to the main roster and began serving as the regular ring announcer onMain Event,SmackDown,Rawandpay-per-viewsas well as a backstage interviewer.[14][15]She served as the RAW brand ring announcer from 2016 until 2018 and remained under contract until she quietly departed from the company in early 2021.[16]

Offerman was part of the main cast for the first season of the reality television showTotal Divasproduced by WWE andE!.The show began airing in July 2013.[17]Offerman was replaced bySummer Raefor the second season.[18][19]

Personal life[edit]

Offerman was in a relationship with WWE wrestler Windham Rotunda, better known asBray Wyatt.[20]They had two children together.[21][22]Rotunda and Offerman became engaged on April 28, 2022;[23]however, Rotunda died of aheart attackon August 24, 2023.[24]
