Joseph M. Breen(April 23, 1897 – October 13, 1978) was a star football player in theCanadian Football Leaguefor two seasons for theToronto Argonauts.Later, he coached at theUniversity of Western Ontarioand was a referee from 1935 through 1940. He was inducted into theCanadian Football Hall of Famein 1963 and into theCanada's Sports Hall of Famein 1975.
