John Howard Goldwyn(born August 10, 1958) is an American film producer.
Early life and family
[edit]Goldwyn was born on August 10, 1958, inLos Angeles,California,the son of producerSamuel Goldwyn Jr.,and his wife, film and stage actressJennifer Howard.He has two brothers: film director and actorTony Goldwynand Francis Goldwyn.
His paternal grandparents wereOscar-winning producerSamuel Goldwynand actressFrances Howard.His maternal grandparents wereSidney Howard,screenwriter ofGone with the Windand 70 other films, andClare Eames,an actress.
Personal life
[edit]Goldwyn and his former wifeColleen Camphave one daughter, Emily Goldwyn, who appeared in the 2005 filmElizabethtownas Star Basketball Player. On April 30, 2011, Goldwyn and hotelier Jeffrey Michael Klein celebrated theirlife partnershipin a ceremony inMarshall, California.Goldwyn's daughter Emily led the couple in the exchange of vows and rings.[1]
Career
[edit]Goldwyn was an Executive Producer/Consultant for scripted content atDiscovery Channel.[2]In September 2016, Discovery aired the limited series Harley & The Davidsons, which Goldwyn produced in association with RAW UK. He then produced Manhunt: Unabomber, the first installment of Discovery's master criminal anthology series.[citation needed]In 2017, he signed a first look deal with Lionsgate.[3]
John Goldwyn's most recent credits include the Hulu miniseriesDopesickreleased in October of 2021 andDexter: New Blood,the revival ofDexter.
