Johol(Jawi:جوهول) is a town, amukimand a state assembly constituency inKuala Pilah District,Negeri Sembilan,Malaysia.[1]It is roughly halfway betweenTampinandKuala Pilah,alongFT 9.

Features[edit]

Johol town houses one of the oldest survivingShellservice stations in the country, dating back to the 1930s. It is located along Jalan BesarFT 9.[2]

Politics[edit]

Johol is one of the constituent Minangkabau states, known asluaks,that formedNegeri Sembilan.The reigningUndangof theLuakof Johol is Datuk Johan Pahlawan Lela Perkasa Setiawan Muhammad Abdullah (the 15th Undang).[3]He is one of the four Undangs that participate in the election of theYamtuan Besarof Negeri Sembilan; the other three are from Sungai Ujong (which included the capitalSerembanandPort Dickson),JelebuandRembau.

Johol is part of theparliamentaryconstituency of Kuala Pilah. Johol is also a constituency of theNegeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly.
