History
[edit]Under Kona Coast Radio,[6]KLUU applied for aconstruction permitas KKHI in February 2005[7](superseded by a September transaction that same year), and became avarietystation owned by Vic Michael of Kona Coast which officially signed on in 2007.[6]
In October 2005, thecall signchanged from KKHI to KHAI.[8]In March 2007, Kona Coast sold KHAI to the Educational Media Foundation, which began running itsAir1service,[9]which eventually was switched over to K-love.[A]KHAI obtained the presentKLUUcallsign from K-love'sJamestown, North Dakotaaffiliate KJKL in 2015.
