KBibTeXis areference management softwareprimarily forBibTeXwhich is typically used in conjunction withTeX/LaTeX.Beyond normal editing capabilities, it offers features such as searching and importing new references fromGoogle ScholarorBibSonomy.
KBibTeX usesKDEbut is not part of the officialKDE Software CompilationorCalligra.There exist two versions of KBibTeX: One that is built onKDE Platform 4,and another built onKDE Frameworks 5.KBibTeX was started in 2004 forKDE3.[2]Its online documentation is hosted on aKDEserver along with a copy inPortable Document Formatfor the purpose of offline reading.[3]
