KaduqliorKadugli[1](Arabic:كادوقليKādūqlīSudanesepronunciation:[kaːˈduɢli]) is the capital city ofSouth Kordofan State,Sudan.It is located 240 kilometres (150 mi) south ofEl-Obeid,at the northern edge of theWhite Nileplain in theNuba Mountains.It containsHilal Stadium.
History

Economy
[edit]It is a trading centre forgum arabicand livestock. Industries includetextiles,soapfactories, and the production ofleather.[3]
During theUNMIS(United Nations Mission in Sudan), Kaduqli was the Sector IV Headquarters. It housed the Egyptian Contingent and based the Indian Aviation Contingent'sMI-17helicopters.
Climate
[edit]Kaduqli has ahot semi-arid climate(Köppen climate classificationBSh), rainfall being just under the boundary for atropical savanna climate(Koppen: Aw), characterized by consistently hot temperatures and distinct wet and dry seasons. March to May marks the hottest part of the year. Thewet seasonlasts from May to September, with moderately high levels of rainfall and humidity. Thedry seasonlasts from November to April, and conversely has very low humidity and almost no rainfall.[4]
