TheKamleshwar Dam,officially known as the "Hiran-I Dam", is a rock-fillembankment damon theHiran RiverinVisavadar,GujaratState,India.Measuring 764 ha (7,640,000 m2),[1]the dam is located within theGir Forest National Parkand was completed in 1959 for irrigation purposes.[2]The reservoir created by the dam is known for its populations of birds andmugger crocodiles.[1][3]
