Kan Otake(Đại trúc khoan,Ōtake Kan,born May 21, 1983)is a Japanese former professional baseball pitcher. He played inNippon Professional Baseball(NPB) for 19 seasons for theHiroshima Toyo CarpandYomiuri Giants.

Career

In2001 NPB draft[jp],Hiroshima Toyo Carpselected him in the first round.[1]

Otake represented theJapan national baseball teamat the 2000World Junior Baseball Championshipand2019 WBSC Premier12.

On October 24, 2021, Otake announced his retirement from professional baseball.[citation needed]In 19 seasons in NPB for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp andYomiuri Giants,Otake recorded a 102-101 record with a 3.77 ERA and 1,186 strikeouts in 376 total appearances.
