Katsuhiro Maeda(born June 23, 1971) is a former Japaneseprofessional baseballpitcher.He played for theSeibu LionsofNippon Professional Baseball(NPB).

Maeda pitched for theSeibu Lionsfor three years. The Lions sold Maeda to theNew York YankeesofMajor League Baseballfor $350,000 in 1996.[1]In 2004, Maeda signed withShanghai Eaglesof theChina Baseball League,becoming the first Japanese player to play in China.[2]
