Kekhvi(Georgian:კეხვიKekhvi,Ossetian:ЧъехChekh,Russian:КехвиKekhvi) is an abandoned village (after2008 Russo-Georgian War) in South Ossetia. The village is located on the left bank of theGreater Liakhvi River.TheTranscaucasian highwaypasses through the village. The road fromTskhinvalito Kekhvi – 7.38 km. Since the2008 South Ossetia warthe village is controlled by the breakaway republic and included in theTskhinval districtby its administrative divisions.
In the south of thevillageis situated the village ofKurta.In the east of theriver– the village Kemerti.
North of the village is a smallhydroelectricdam.
