Kemal Kerinçsiz

Kemal Kerinçsiz(born 20 February 1960, inEdirne,Turkey) is a Turkishnationalistlawyer, famous for filing complaints against more than 40 Turkish journalists and authors (includingOrhan Pamuk,Elif Şafak,[1][2]and the lateHrant Dink[3]) for "insultingTurkishness".He heads theBüyük Hukukçular Birliği( "Great Union of Jurists" ), which is responsible for mostArticle 301trials.[4]

On 5 August 2013, Kerinçsiz was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment as part of theErgenekon trials.[5]He was released together with several other suspects in March 2014.[6]
