Kim Jong-gwan(Korean:김정관/ kim chính quan) is a North Korean politician and military officer who served asMinister of People's Armed Forcesfrom December 2019 to September 2021.

Biography[edit]

Kim is a General of the Korean People's Army and previously commanded the General Construction Bureau. In May 2016, he was appointed a member of the7thCentral Committeeof theWorkers' Party of Koreaat the7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.[1]In March 2009, hewas electedthe 12th convocation for the 334th district of theSupreme People's Assembly.[2]He was a member of the Funeral committee ofRi Ul-solwho died in August 2015 andKim Yong-chunwho died in August 2018.[3]In December 2019 he was appointed to theMinister of People's Armed Forcesand promoted to General[4]and became also an alternate member of thePolitburoof theCentral Committeeof theWorkers' Party of Korea.
