Kitrinoviricotais a phylum ofRNA virusesthat includes allpositive-strand RNA virusesthat infecteukaryotesand are not members of the phylumPisuviricotaorLenarviricota.[1]The name of the group derives from Greekκίτρινος(kítrinos), which means yellow (a reference toyellow fever virus), and -viricota,which is the suffix for avirus phylum.[2]
