TheKokowalandjawere anindigenous Australianpeople ofnorthern Queensland.

The Kokowalandja are stated, byNorman Tindale,to have had a territorial extent of some 600 square miles (1,600 km2), around the headwaters of theeast Normanby River,with a westward extension to theGreat Dividing Range.[1]
