Kosmos 2381(Russian:Космос 2381meaningCosmos 2381) is one of a set of threeRussianmilitarysatelliteslaunched in 2001 as part of theGLONASSsatellite navigation system. It was launched withKosmos 2380andKosmos 2382.
This satellite is a GLONASS satellite, also known as Uragan, and is numbered Uragan No. 789.[1]
Kosmos 2380/1/2 were launched fromSite 81/24atBaikonur Cosmodromein Kazakhstan. AProton-Kcarrier rocket with aBlok DMupper stage was used to perform the launch which took place at 18:04 UTC on 1 December 2001. The launch successfully placed the satellites intoMedium Earth orbit.It subsequently received itsKosmosdesignation, and theinternational designator2001-053B. TheUnited States Space Commandassigned it theSatellite Catalog Number26988.[1]
It was in the first orbital plane in orbital slot 3. It is no longer part of the GLONASS constellation.[3][4]
