Kosmos 2484(Russian:Космос 2484meaningCosmos 2484) is a Russian military store-dump communicationssatellitelaunched in 2013, together withKosmos 2483andKosmos 2482.

This satellite is aStrela-3M/Rodniksatellite, a modification of the civilianGonetssatellites.[3]

Kosmos 2484 was launched fromsite 133/3atPlesetsk Cosmodromein northern Russia. Arokotcarrier rocket with aBriz-KMupper stage was used to perform the launch which took place at 16:24 UTC on 15 January 2013. The launch successfully placed the satellite intolow Earth orbit.It subsequently received itsKosmosdesignation, and theinternational designator2013-001C. TheUnited States Strategic Command(the successor of theUnited States Space Command) assigned it theSatellite Catalog Number39059.[3][4][5]

The launch was postponed from 8 December 2012 and was the first launch of a Rokot since the 28 July 2012 launch ofKosmos 2481,another Rodnik.[6]
