Umeda is known for seldomly competing for various promotions from theJapanese independent scene.He competed in the 2015 edition ofPro Wrestling Noah'sGlobal Junior Heavyweight Tag Leaguewhere he teamed up with Kudo and scored a total of two points after going against the teams ofEl DesperadoandTaka Michinoku,Yoshinari Ogawa andZack Sabre Jr.,MasamuneandTaiji Ishimori,andCaptain NoahandGenba Hirayanagi.[4]On the first night of theAJPWSuper Power Series 2015,from May 6, Umeda teamed up with Keisuke Ishii to defeat Xceed (Kotaro SuzukiandYohei Nakajima).[5]

DDT Pro-Wrestling (2014–2019)

Umeda made hisprofessional wrestlingdebut inDDT Pro-Wrestlingon October 18, 2014, atDDT Dramatic Fanclub Vol. 1,where he gell short toKazusada Higuchi.[6]

He is known for competing in various of the promotion's signature events such as theDDT Peter Pan,making his first appearance atRyōgoku Peter Pan 2015on August 23, where he teamed up withMao InoueandMizuki Watasein a losing effort againstYasu Urano,AkitoandRyota Nakatsuas a result of aSix-man tag team match.[7]AtRyōgoku Peter Pan 2016on August 28, he teamed up withThe Great KabukiandYukio Sakaguchiin a losing effort againstSanshiro Takagi,Shiro KoshinakaandNosawa.[8]AtRyōgoku Peter Pan 2018on October 21, he teamed up with Kazusada Higuchi and competed in aGauntlet tag team matchwon by Shuten-dōji (KudoandMasahiro Takanashi) and also involvingMike BaileyandAntonio Honda,Renegades (Mizuki Watase andJason "The Gift" Kincaid),Thanomsak TobaandKeisuke Okuda,andTomomitsu MatsunagaandMichael Nakazawa.[9]AtWrestle Peter Pan 2019on July 15, Umeda competed twice, first in aSingles matchwhere he defeatedKeigo Nakamura,and secondly in atag team matchwhere he paired up withKouki Iwasakiin a losing effort against Kazusada Higuchi and Ryota Nakatsu.[10]AtWrestle Peter Pan 2022on August 20, he teamed up withNaomi Yoshimuraand Keisuke Okuda in a losing effort againstHarashimaand Eruption (Yukio Sakaguchi andHideki Okatani).[11]

Another branch of events in which Umeda competed isDDT Judgement,in which he made his first appearance atJudgement 2016: DDT 19th Anniversaryon March 21, where he teamed up withLiLiCoand Mizuki Watase to defeatSaki Akai,Makoto OishiandLadybeard.[12]AtJudgement 2018: DDT 21st Anniversary,he teamed up with Yuki Ueno and Koju Takeda and defeated Shuten-dōji (Kudo, Masahiro Takanashi and Yukio Sakaguchi) to win theKO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship.[13]AtJudgement 2019: DDT 22nd Anniversaryon February 17, he teamed up withKeisuke Ishiiand Mizuki Watase to defeatDanshoku Dino,Pokotan and Kudo.[14]

As for theDDT Into The Fightseries, he made his first appearance atInto The Fight 2016on February 28, where he teamed up with Mizuki Watase to defeatHiroshi FukudaandGuanchuloin a match disputed for theKing of Dark Championship.[15]AtInto The Fight 2018on February 25, Umeda teamed up with Makoto Oishi and competed in aTag team rumble rules matchwon bySoma Takaoand Mao and also involving Yuki Ueno and Koju Takeda, T2Hii (Toru Owashiand Kazuki Hirata), and Sanshiro Takagi andSuper Sasadango Machine.[16]AtInto The Fight 2019on March 21, he teamed up withBull Jamesand Naomi Yoshimura to defeatDamnation(Tetsuya Endo,Mad PaulieandNobuhiro Shimatani).[17]

In theKing of DDT Tournament,Umeda made his first appearance at the 2015 edition where he fell short toDaisuke Sasakiin the first rounds.[18]At the 2016 edition, he fell short toShuji Ishikawain the first rounds.[19]At the 2019 edition, Umeda fell short to Kazusada Higuchi again just in the first rounds.[20]
