Kruder & Dorfmeister,named after membersPeter Kruderand Richard Dorfmeister, is an Austrian duo, known for theirtrip hop/downtemporemixes ofpop,hip hopanddrum and basssongs.[1]

Career

In 1993, they released their first EPG-Stonedfeaturing the hypnotic "High Noon" and a cover resemblingSimon & Garfunkel'sBookendsto critical acclaim especially from the UK.[1]Gilles Petersonplayed the track at first on his BBC showWorldwide.[2]

In 2007, the duo were commissioned byNokiato create a set of ringtones and sounds for its luxuryNokia 8800 Arteand Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte phones.[3]

2010 marked the 16th anniversary of Kruder & Dorfmeister and their record label G-Stone Recordings which resulted in the release of theSixteen F**king Years Of G-Stone Recordingscompilation and the development of theK&D Sessions Liveshow. The show included visuals by longtime G-Stone VJ collaborator Fritz Fitzke and MC performances by Earl Zinger and MC Ras T-Weed. With performances atThe Big Chill,Berlin Festivaland other large festivals, theK&D Sessions Liveshow became successful and a world tour ensued.[4]
