Kyaw Thet(Burmese:ကျော်သက်,pronounced[tɕɔ̀θɛʔ];1921–2008) was ahistorian of Burma,and professor ofAsian StudiesatUniversity of Windsor,Ontario, Canada.[2]He was formerly a professor ofBurmese and Eastern History Studiesat theUniversity of Rangoon.He is ofBurmanandMondescent. Kyaw Thet received his bachelor's degree at the University of Rangoon, and master's degrees at theUniversity of London,[3]and Ph.D from University of London in 1950 with thesis entitledBurma's Relations With Her Eastern Neighbours In The Konbaung Period.[4]He was also a visiting professor atYale University.[5]
