TheLaborec Highlands(inSlovak,Laborecká vrchovina) is a mountain range in northeasternSlovakia,part of theLower Beskidsof theOuter Eastern Carpathians.

The range is composed of Carpathianflysch.Bordered in the north by thePolishnational border and to the west by theOndavská Highlands,its ridges typically reach a height of 500 to 700 metres. The highest point isVysoký Grúň,at 905 metres. The region is drained by theLaborecRiver and, in its western portion, by theOndava.

Notables town and villages in the hill country includeMedzilaborce(site of theAndy Warhol Museum of Modern Art),Vyšná Jablonka,Bodružal,andVyšný Komárnik.The highlands are also the location of the strategically significantDukla Pass,the lowest mountain pass in the main ranges of the Carpathians, and the site of theBattle of the Dukla Passof September and October 1944.
