Lagunes District(French:District des Lagunes,pronounced[distʁiktdelaɡyn],lit.'Lagoons') is one of fourteenadministrative districtsofIvory Coast.The district is located in the southern part of the country. The capital of the district isDabou.

Creation

Lagunes District was created in a 2011 administrative reorganisation of thesubdivisions of Ivory Coast.[2]The territory of the district was composed by merging the former regions ofAgnébyandLagunesand removing the territory of theAbidjan Autonomous District.[3]
